Hideous Intimacies (2019)
Hideous Intimacies is a seven-channel (six video, one audio) sculptural video installation, presented in the context of a solo exhibition at Pangée in collaboration with the talented and poetic scenographic Natacha Boucher, with the generous support of the Canada Council for the Arts. The first instalment of the work was shown at The Adjacent Possible at TAP Art Space in 2017. The work stems from the first of a two-part novella written from 2016 to 2017 about an unnamed protagonist in the throes and to the side of addiction and romantic love, folding in theories of the multiverse and the ways in which that might and can influence the psyche and the body.
